« The start of the stage was very rough, but the route was quite nice. We were in the dust, behind a Toyota, when we lost part of the front drive. We had to finish the stage in two-wheel drive, being very careful. The important thing is that we finished the stage without too many problems. There is still a long way to go…»
Tomorrow will be the first Libyan stage, between Nalut and Al Qaryat, following a totally new route. Although this stage will be fast, it will be necessary to watch out for the many parallel routes which could catch the navigators out. The sand will also make its first appearance.
